The Yuba County Water Agency (YCWA) selects Cogsdale’s Enterprise Resource Planning System (ERP) and Computer Maintenance and Management System (CMMS).

October 6, 2015 – Yuba County, CA and Charlottetown, PE - The Yuba County Water Agency, announced today that they have selected Cogsdale’s ERP and CMMS software solutions, implementation services, training, and ongoing technical support to help the Agency adapt to ongoing technical and industry changes.

Prior to Cogsdale’s solutions, the Agency used a variety of paper-based systems to manage financials, administration and maintenance management. Cogsdale’s fully-integrated system will solve the Agency’s lack of integration between systems, and also automate, streamline and boost operational efficiency.

Some of YCWA’s specific challenges, prior to selecting Cogsdale, included duplicate data entry and a reliance on a multitude of spreadsheets to capture, track, and report on data. In late 2014, the Agency released an RFP with the goal of acquiring the right solution to effectively and efficiently manage operations.

The Agency’s decision was unanimous, amongst a field of qualified proposers, to bring Cogsdale on board, based on a complete, professional RFP response that fully demonstrated how they met the Agency’s requirement for both an ERP and integrated CMMS system.

Ann Mehta, YCWA Business Services Manager, elaborates, “During the selection process, we were impressed with the Microsoft Dynamics GP platform as well as the responsiveness and cooperation of the Cogsdale team.” Mehta continues, “The integration of the CMMS system, the workflow process, and the budgeting and HR tools, will allow us to efficiently manage operations during our period of rapid growth and beyond. We are excited to begin implementation and look forward to working with the Cogsdale team.”

From the initial review of the RFP, Cogsdale knew that YCWA was a great fit for the Cogsdale solution. In addition to Cogsdale’s extensive experience implementing Microsoft Dynamics GP, Cogsdale offers a fully integrated CMMS solution, differentiating us from the competition. Cogsdale is excited to add to the customer base in California and looks forward to a long and successful partnership with YCWA.

YCWA was established in 1959 to improve flood protection and provide a water supply to residents of Yuba County. Recently the Agency paid off bonds, which will allow them to independently operate and manage dams and hydropower facilities in the region. This change will require 24/7 operations and substantial demands for real-time data and analysis.

Selecting Cogsdale’s solutions will satisfy the Agency’s need for more sophisticated systems to eliminate the use of many shadow systems, which will support and improve key business processes.
