Southern California Association of Governments, Selects Cogsdale Sep 1, 2009 Charlottetown PE, - Southern California Association of Governments Cogsdale is pleased to add the Southern California Association of Government (SCAG) to our growing list of clients in the state of California. Cogsdale’s 18th client in California has selected Cogsdale to provide a full enterprise financial system ranging from General ledger, Cogsdale WebProcure for procurement, Payroll, Human Resources, Document Management, and Work Management, with a special emphasis on managing their large, multiyear projects.
SCAG is the largest Metropolitan Planning Organization and Council of Governments in the nation, representing six counties, 189 cities and 19 million residents. The agency conducts long range regional planning for transportation, land use, housing, and air quality and develops policies and initiatives that encourage a more sustainable Southern California.
In Early December 2008 SCAG published a request for proposals to find qualified vendors to replace its current SAP Financial System. After an extensive review by the SCAG selection committee and several short listed demonstrations and customer site visits, the Cogsdale solution was chosen based on fit with their operational requirements as well as technology and partner choice.
