Duncan Shaw
Co-President
As Co-President, Duncan brings over 15 years of business expertise to the helm of Cogsdale. His entrepreneurial management style has positioned Cogsdale as an accomplished provider of utility and local government software solutions. Duncan’s talents are leveraged leading the sales and marketing functions of the business. He is focused on strengthening Cogsdale’s presence and leadership as a provider of solutions that address the information management goals of utilities and governments. Prior to leading Cogsdale, Duncan held several roles, including professor, management consultant, and Vice President of a software development and systems integration company, which have given him a depth of experience and knowledge that benefits both clients and employees. Duncan received his Bachelor of Business Administration prior to completing his MBA and Certified Management Accountant designation. Duncan sits on the UPEI School of Business advisory board, and enjoys coaching youth basketball.
David Perry
Co-President
A pioneer in devising software solutions for business requirements, David is a leader with a keen interest on the evolution of the business world and the technology solutions being developed to support business needs. As Co-President, David has contributed significantly to Cogsdale’s success, and has been instrumental in strategically positioning Cogsdale in the local government marketplace as a robust technology partner. David’s profound business knowledge allows him to successfully lead Cogsdale’s product development and is currently guiding Cogsdale’s efforts in developing Land Management Solutions. He brings over 35 years of financial industry experience gained through responsibility in senior management with Deloitte & Touche, president of a computer training institution and as chief financial controller of an international public corporation. David is a Chartered Accountant with Bachelors of Business Administration and Physical Education. David currently resides in Ottawa, Ontario.
Darren MacKay
Vice President, Executive Projects
Darren has held several roles since joining Cogsdale in 1999. He is currently Vice President, Executive Projects and has responsibility for a number of large projects and client relationships. Darren has a solid understanding of management and business practices having spent many years in management positions in the retail and hospitality industries prior to joining Cogsdale. Darren’s significant management experience, combined with his advanced technical skills, allow him to work effectively with our clients to maximize the investment made in their information infrastructure. Based out of Charlottetown, Darren has a Bachelor of Science and a diploma in Applied Information Technology.
Kelly Dawson
Chief Operating Officer
Kelly brings over 13 years experience in all aspects of software development to the leadership team at Cogsdale. Since re-joining Cogsdale in 2004, Kelly has been successful in several roles, including most recently Product Designer and Vice President of Product Development. Kelly was promoted to COO where she has responsibility for the day to day operations of the Company. Kelly oversees the technological development and delivery of Cogsdale’s products and services, including consulting, application development and product support. Kelly is a dedicated people leader with the unique ability to guide employees toward realizing their strengths and potential. Kelly received a Bachelor of Commerce degree with a double major in Computer Science and Business Administration as well as an MBA. Kelly is based out of Charlottetown and is actively involved in the IT Industry as the President of the Innovation and Technology Association of PEI.
Kevin Clancey
Vice President, Sales and Marketing
Kevin joined Cogsdale in 2001 as an Account Executive. Kevin has been instrumental in strengthening Cogsdale’s presence in the Southeast and has proven to be a true leader, earning a promotion to VP, Business Development. Kevin has responsibility for customer management acquisition, customer relationship management, marketing, and strategic partnerships. Kevin continues to build on Cogsdale’s success in growing market share and strengthening the company’s reputation as a trusted software partner. Kevin brings several years of professional experience to Cogsdale, having held financial and marketing management roles prior to joining the Company. Kevin is based in Charlottetown, and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and a MBA.
Todd Gaudin
Chief Financial Officer
Todd has been responsible for overseeing Cogsdale’s financial and administrative functions since the company’s incorporation in 1997. As CFO, he has successfully guided the Company through growth stages, overseeing corporate accounting, raising capital, and improving financial efficiency. Prior to joining Cogsdale, Todd gained significant experience as the controller for a software development company, and also worked in public accounting and tax with Deloitte & Touche in their Charlottetown and Bermuda offices. Todd is a Chartered Accountant and has a Bachelor of Business Administration.
Sherri Graham
Director of Professional Services and Support
Sherri has spent many years deeply involved in all aspects of financial systems implementation and analysis. Employees and clients benefit from Sherri’s in depth experience and strong project management, communication and analytical skills gained through her time spent consulting in various capacities to clients from private industry and all levels of government. Her engagements have included both small consulting projects and large national software implementations. This vast experience is an asset to Cogsdale in her current role as Director. Sherri holds both a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Professional Writing, and is home based in Ottawa, Ontario.
Jamie Houghton
Director of Development and Product Design
Jamie brings a significant amount of technical experience in a variety of industries, both locally and internationally, to his role as the Director of Development and Product Design at Cogsdale. Jamie is an enthusiastic leader who enjoys the challenge of guiding a team of developers and product designers through the evolution of Cogsdale’s products. Jamie holds a Bachelor of Commerce and a Diploma in Applied Information Technology. Jamie is based in our Charlottetown office, and is actively involved in the IT Industry as a Board Member of the PEI chapter of the Canadian Information Processing Society.
Ken Anderson
Director of Quality Assurance and Documentation
Ken brings a strong background in both QA and Development to his role as the Director of Quality Assurance and Documentation. Ken has in depth experience in building and managing QA teams and programs. He has worked in a variety of industries, and has a talent for establishing strong teams and proven processes to ensure a quality product for our clients. Ken has a Bachelor of Arts and a Diploma in Programming, and is based in our Charlottetown office.
