Duncan Shaw
General Manager
As General Manager, Duncan is responsible for the strategic direction and product strategy of Cogsdale. Duncan was a founder of Cogsdale and partner since 1997 until assuming his current role with Harris' acquisition of Cogsdale. His entrepreneurial management style has positioned Cogsdale as an accomplished provider of utility and local government software solutions. Duncan continues to focus Cogsdale's product agenda on fully leveraging Microsoft technology for the unique needs of Cogsdale's clients. Duncan received his Bachelor of Business Administration prior to completing his MBA and Certified Management Accountant designation. Duncan sits on the UPEI School of Business advisory board and the board of Innovation PEI.
Darren MacKay
Vice President, Executive Projects
Darren has held several roles since joining Cogsdale in 1999. He is currently Vice President, Executive Projects and has responsibility for a number of large projects and client relationships. Darren has a solid understanding of management and business practices having spent many years in management positions in the retail and hospitality industries prior to joining Cogsdale. Darren’s significant management experience, combined with his advanced technical skills, allow him to work effectively with our clients to maximize the investment made in their information infrastructure. Based out of Charlottetown, Darren has a Bachelor of Science and a diploma in Applied Information Technology.
Kelly Dawson
Chief Operating Officer
Kelly brings over 13 years experience in all aspects of software development to the leadership team at Cogsdale. Since re-joining Cogsdale in 2004, Kelly has been successful in several roles, including most recently Product Designer and Vice President of Product Development. Kelly was promoted to COO where she has responsibility for the day to day operations of the Company. Kelly oversees the technological development and delivery of Cogsdale’s products and services, including consulting, application development and product support. Kelly is a dedicated people leader with the unique ability to guide employees toward realizing their strengths and potential. Kelly received a Bachelor of Commerce degree with a double major in Computer Science and Business Administration as well as an MBA. Kelly is based out of Charlottetown and is actively involved in the IT Industry as the President of the Innovation and Technology Association of PEI.
Kevin Clancey
Vice President, Sales and Marketing
Kevin joined Cogsdale in 2001 as an Account Executive. Kevin has been instrumental in strengthening Cogsdale’s presence in the Southeast and has proven to be a true leader, earning a promotion to VP, Business Development. Kevin has responsibility for customer management acquisition, customer relationship management, marketing, and strategic partnerships. Kevin continues to build on Cogsdale’s success in growing market share and strengthening the company’s reputation as a trusted software partner. Kevin brings several years of professional experience to Cogsdale, having held financial and marketing management roles prior to joining the Company. Kevin is based in Charlottetown, and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and a MBA.
Todd Gaudin
Chief Financial Officer
Todd has been responsible for overseeing Cogsdale’s financial and administrative functions since the company’s incorporation in 1997. As CFO, he has successfully guided the Company through growth stages, overseeing corporate accounting, raising capital, and improving financial efficiency. Prior to joining Cogsdale, Todd gained significant experience as the controller for a software development company, and also worked in public accounting and tax with Deloitte & Touche in their Charlottetown and Bermuda offices. Todd is a Chartered Accountant and has a Bachelor of Business Administration.
Jamie Houghton
Director of Development and Product Design
Jamie brings a significant amount of technical experience in a variety of industries, both locally and internationally, to his role as the Director of Development and Product Design at Cogsdale. Jamie is an enthusiastic leader who enjoys the challenge of guiding a team of developers and product designers through the evolution of Cogsdale’s products. Jamie holds a Bachelor of Commerce and a Diploma in Applied Information Technology. Jamie is based in our Charlottetown office, and is actively involved in the IT Industry as a Board Member of the PEI chapter of the Canadian Information Processing Society.
Chris Darrach
Director of Professional Services
Chris joined Cogsdale as a Project manager in 2007 and quickly built a solid reputation as a respected leader of both people and projects. Prior to joining Cogsdale, Chris spent several years in technical and management positions and enjoys bringing both talents to his role as Director of Professional Services at Cogsdale. Chris had led many successful projects at Cogsdale, and has a strong commitment to excellence in customer service. Clients and employees benefit from Chris's excellent communications skills and focus on process. Chris is based in our Charlottetown office. He holds a Diploma of Application Development and Database Administration and has a PMP certification.
Cory Gallant
Director of Support Operations
Cory joined Cogsdale as a Project Manager in 2008, and has built many strong relationships with employees and clients of Cogsdale. A believer in the importance of the support function at Cogsdale, Cory's background in technology and management is key to his ability to successfully lead our Support operations. Clients benefit from Cory's experience, communication and analytical skills gained through past roles in both the private and public sectors. Cory enjoys the challenge of being a dynamic and motivating leader for his team as they work to enhance the customer experience. Based out of Charlottetown, Cory holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Diploma in Applied Information Technology.
